Food web in the ecosystems

 Food web a complex network of interconnecting and overlapping food chainsafety showing feeding relationshipso within a community. A food chain shows how matter and energy from food are transfered from one organisms to another 

Where as a food web illustrates how food chains intertwined in an ecosystem. Food webs also demonstrate that most organisms  consume or are consumedoing by more than one species.all food webs except those centered deep within on the ocean floor are powered by the sun.

Organisms within food webs are divided into two main categories: Producers also called autotrophs which make their own food and consumer also called heterotrophs which depend on producers and other consumers for nourishment. food chain, in ecology, the sequence of transfers of matter and energy in the form of food from organism to organism.                                                                                                           Food chains intertwine locally into a food web because most organisms consume more than one type of animal or plant. Plants, which convert solar energy to food by photosynthesis, are the primary food source. In a predator chain, a plant-eating animal is eaten by a flesh-eating animal. In a parasite chain, a smaller organism consumes part of a larger host and may itself be parasitized by even smaller organisms. In a saprophytic chain, microorganisms live on dead organic matter.
